“Worry about the things you can control; don’t worry about the things you can’t.”
Business Philosophy
“Be a businessman first, and an accountant second,” says Bob Oster, a philosophy that has earned him decades of success with Concannon, Miller & Co.
Since 1979, Bob has been an integral part of the Concannon, Miller & Co. organization, over which time he has overseen the evolution of a number of key services offered by the firm. He adds, “Always communicate and be proactive, but most importantly, listen to your client.”
Sports, Books & Cigars
Bob is an avid golfer, reader, and drummer as well as a cigar aficionado. In fact, he says his favorite vacation spot is anywhere he can “read a book, smoke a cigar, and relax.” Books on American History and others authored by John Grisham is what you will likely see him reading.
Most Prized Possession
Bob lists his family as his most prized possession, and says that his own parents were the biggest influence in his life. “My parents taught me to never forget where I came from,” he says, “which was one of the most important lessons I ever learned.”
Volunteer Work
Bob volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America, St. Luke’s Hospital, and Via of the Lehigh Valley.
