Perform, Educate, Think

Since joining the Concannon, Miller & Co. organization in 1976, Bob Vitale has narrowed his approach to effective client service down to four main principles: Perform with integrity; Educate your clients; Keep your clients informed; and Think of where you want to go before embarking.

A Welcome Vacation

Outside of the office, Bob puts great value on spending time with friends and says that entertaining at home and getting together at restaurants are two of his favorite ways to spend an evening. He also enjoys golf and vacationing, often combining the two. (He also spends 10 days in Saint Maarten each year immediately after tax season.)

Important Influences

Bob cites a number of people as being highly influential in his life. First and foremost was his father, who instilled in Bob a strong work ethic. He also mentions his first boss, who threw Bob out into the field to sink or swim, and his second boss, who taught him to become more analytical and more effectively solve problems.

Priorities in Order

If stranded on a desert island, Bob is definitive in what he would need to survive: “My wife, a Beefeater martini, and a good cigar.”

Bob attended Woodstock in 1969 but wishes he could remember more of it.
